The West Angeles Prison Ministry seeks to meet the spiritual needs of the incarcerated by delivering the Word of God and sharing the resources available through our Church. In addition, we teach individuals to establish their own relationship with Christ and to seek Him for themselves. We also advise them on how to be examples to others. Our foremost goal is to lead men and women to Jesus Christ.
No individual life is outside the realm of God’s influence. It is important for our church to play a role in restoring the lives of prisoners and ex-prisoners on a consistent basis. In addition, it is important to assist their families. Also, upon their release from prison, we hope to equip individuals with the faith necessary to reestablish themselves as positive members of their community.
The Skid Row Ministry is an avenue the Lord has provided for us to touch the poor in spirit, the broken hearted, the heavy burdened, and the weary on the streets of LA. We believe our ministry is that of hope to men, women, and children living on Skid Row in downtown Los Angeles.
The work is tough and isn’t for the faint of heart. However, it certainly is a blessing to see lives resurrected and radically changed into the likeness of Christ Jesus. All members of society deserve an opportunity to be led to the Lord. If you have a heart for the lost and the helpless, then prayerfully consider stepping out in faith and participating. It will be one of the more rewarding experiences you’ve had in your life.
