Get ready, get ready, GET READY, West Angeles!

This year, there is no need to search for a scout to buy from, because we are coming to you! Your very own  Girl Scout Troop will be selling  delightful and delectable Girl Scout cookies at West Angeles Church after the 8 o’clock and 11 o’clock a.m. services.

Who We Are:

We are Girl Scout troops 7775 and 7385. We are a part of the Crendera (Crenshaw—Ladera Heights)

neighborhood, operating exclusively out of West Angeles Church of God in Christ.

Our Mission:

Grow our spirited girls into strong and confident young women through our bi-monthly activities

which encourage teamwork and sisterhood, as well as independence and a sense of accomplishment.

We currently have Scouts at the following levels:

Brownie: 5-7; Junior: 8-11; Cadette: 11-13; and Senior: 14-17.

We also have one Ambassador level Scout.

What We Do:

As Girl Scouts, we strive to live up to our promise and our law. We recite our promise every meeting

to remind us of our purpose. Our promise and our law are as follows:

The Promise:

On My Honor, I will try to:

 Serve God, And My Country,

Help people at all times

Live By the Girl Scout Law

The Law:

I will do my best to be:

Honest and fair,

Friendly and helpful,

Considerate and caring,

Courageous and strong, and

Responsible for what I say and do,

Respect myself and others,

Respect authority,

Use resources wisely,

Make the world a better place, and

Be a sister to every Girl Scout.

Our Leaders:

The West Angles Girl Scout leaders are all women who have dedicated their time encouraging and

guiding young girls. They truly have a heart for service and wish to see each scout blossom into an

independent and confident young lady. Our leaders are as follows:

Ms. Gladys Storey

Ms. Jospehine Hardge

Ms. Kim Stewart

Ms. Rachele Edwards

Ms. Anna Robinson

In addition to our five leaders, we also have three junior leaders. Each junior leader was once a part of

this West Angeles Girl Scout troop, and have returned to share their experiences and give guidance to

the current scouts. Our junior leaders are as follows:

Miss Kiara Fair

Miss Ashlei Howard

Miss Shara Stewart

“One thing Girl Scouts taught me was Independence. I learned how to think critically and handle problems for myself first, instead of automatically seeking help from others.”
