“The time is now for you to be blessed” – Presiding Bishop Charles Edward Blake, Sr.
The West Angeles Church of God in Christ congregation was brought to its feet in thunderous praise by the dynamic September 20, 2015 sermon delivered by Superintendent Melton R. Timmons of Tyler, TX.
Presiding Bishop Charles E. Blake, Sr., in his introduction of guest speaker Superintendent Timmons, said that West Angeles was “blessed” to have the Word of God delivered by “a dear friend and brother, and officer of the Church of God in Christ; a faithful member, a minister of the gospel of our savior, Jesus Christ”.
The sermon titled, “God’s Got This One” heralded a new season of release for God’s faithful.
“This season is all about Jesus,” preached Pastor Timmons. “Is there anybody in here gonna help me testify?”
Superintendent Melton Timmons serves as the proud Pastor of the Jones Valley Community Church of God in Christ, in Tyler, Texas and as Superintendent of the David R. Houston District. He is also the Regional Director for the Church of God in Christ General Secretary’s Office, and a member of the Executive Board of the General Council of Pastors and Elders. On April 9, 2013, he was elected Secretary of the COGIC National Board of Trustees.
