West Angeles Church of God In Christ was honored to have Bishop J. Delano Ellis and his wife, Pastor Sabrina Ellis, visit on December 28, 2014.
Reverend Ellis delivered West Angeles’ last Sunday sermon of 2014 titled, “It’s Almost Midnight.” He used the Apostle Paul’s shipwrecked voyage to Rome in Acts 27 as an analogy for the many challenges saints around the world have faced during the past year. Bishop Ellis also lightened the mood, however, by keeping the congregation laughing; reminding us that God is still in control.
Bishop J. Delano Ellis is a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He currently serves as the Senior Pastor of the Pentecostal Church of Christ, in University Circle, Cleveland, Ohio. Bishop Ellis is the founding president, chairman, and Archbishop-Metropolitan of the Joint College of African-American Pentecostal Bishops, and he is recognized throughout the U.S. as a leader in the Holiness Pentecostal Community.
