How To Be A Person After God’s Own Heart

, , , ,

When we are diligently seeking God, we open ourselves up to His blessings and his favor. In this sermon, Bishop Charles E. Blake gives us the example of Saul, a person who never changed even though there were elements of evil in his character that he was aware of. Bishop Blake tells us that when we change our attitudes and depart from the things that separate us from God, we can change our destiny and fully receive His blessings. We must strive to be more like God and truly become a person after God’s own heart; those that do are prosperous and, as Bishop Blake says, get moved to the front of the line.

We all have times where being a person after God’s own heart is difficult. What are some things you try to remember in those times? Share with us below!

The Same God

, , ,

When facing difficulties in your life, ask yourself this question: Is there anything too hard for God?

In the sermon, “The Same God,” Bishop Blake reminds us that the same God that raised Jesus from the dead is the same God that will pull us out of our hard places. The ultimate miracle of God was raising Jesus from the dead, which is the most final conclusion to life. This teaches us that finality lies within the palms of our Lord. This is the place where we must place our burdens and rest in the knowledge that our God is the same yesterday, today and forevermore.

“Where there is no vision, the people perish…” Proverbs 29:18 In the sermon, “Vision,” Bishop Blake challenges us to find a vision for every aspect of our lives. Envisioning ourselves living a Godly life, places our dreams in direct alignment with the word of God. In this world full of pain and heartache, people need hope. Visions provide hope to a dying world. When we link that vision to the power of the Holy Ghost, He breathes the breath of life and prosperity into every aspect of our dreams, coercing our hearts and souls to dream on. With God, nothing is impossible. Continue dreaming and watch the hand of God move in your life.

You Can Make it

, , ,

In “You can make it,” Bishop Blake reminds us that there is a point in our temporary suffering. How we handle trials will determine, “whether we are tolerating life or actually enjoying it.” If we stay steadfast and focus on who God is, we will not and cannot crumble under life’s pressures. Our trials are a way for God to show us his power and allow us to know Him better. If we never needed a financial break through, then we would not know that God is a provider. If we never got sick, we would not know that God is a healer. Therefore, in all trials remember how God brought you out of the last situation.

God’s power is unparalleled and in all things you can make it!

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Philippians 4:13

Give God Something To Look Forward To

, , ,

God has a plan. Every single thing that he does is ultimately for one person; unhindered fellowship with his children. This is the reason why he came to Earth and died on a cross; to redeem his children and allow them full access to His throne. Christ’s vision is for evangelism across the globe. You were saved to bring someone else to Christ.

To whom much is given, much is required. Bishop Blake tells us in his sermon, “Give God Something to Look Forward To” that it is a sin to receive from God and not be fruitful. God honors productivity. He requires us to be productive in His plan of salvation to all people. God blesses you and looks forward to how many people you will tell that, “Promotion does not come from the east or the west, but from above.” God heals you and looks forward to seeing how many people you will give your testimony to. God delivers you and wait to see how many people your testimony can touch. I urge you to give all that is required of you from the God that blesses you daily. Salvation is meant to be shared.
