Media Ministry

The West Angeles Media Ministry facilitates the world-wide internet streaming broadcast of our weekly church services.  Under the leadership of Presiding Bishop Charles Edward Blake, Sr. and Marvin Drake, our team members are themselves worship leaders. It is the team’s goal to exalt Christ, and to lead West Angeles’ congregants into a solid relationship with Jesus Christ through the use of their media talents and gifts.

The Media Team is comprised of seasoned, experienced entertainment industry professionals, volunteers and trainees whose goal is transparency – not their own visibility –  in order to prevent distraction from the worship service. Our Media Ministry is powered by the Holy Spirit, and is focused on creating an atmosphere of spiritual excellence.

West Angeles Church of God In Christ has a full-service media production facility.  In addition, we provide our own video production, editing, writing for the creation of our own custom content. The West Angeles’ media facilities are equipped to provide all aspects of the production process.

West Angeles Hosts Community Thanksgiving Dinner

As we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith – Galatians 6:10 (NKJV)

West Angeles Church of God In Christ, under the leadership of Presiding Bishop Charles E. Blake, Sr. and First Lady Mae L. Blake, hosted a warm and wonderful Community Thanksgiving Dinner on November 22, 2016. Hundreds of residents and volunteers from the West Angeles community and the greater Los Angeles area converged upon the West Angeles North Campus Sanctuary for an early-afternoon prayer service and praise and worship, followed by a scrumptious, Thanksgiving meal served at no cost to those in attendance, at the lovely West Angeles Crystal Room. Guests were served buffet-style from a full Thanksgiving  including turkey and all the trimmings and a host of desserts.

“We make it a priority to bless those within our church body and our community who might not otherwise have dinner on Thanksgiving,” said Bishop Blake, “or have a chance to fellowship with others.”

West Angeles thanks Marvin Drake and the Media Ministry, the West Angeles Food Services Department, Boy Scout Troop 848, and all of the ministries, departments, congregants and volunteers who made the day an overwhelming success.
